Contest Terms & Conditions
The CannabisSense Summer Festival Ticket Giveaway (the “Contest“) is being held by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (“AGLC”). AGLC is holding this Contest as part of their CannabisSense Safe Storage Campaign.
The Contest is open to residents of Alberta who are eighteen (18) years of age or older (each a “Contestant”) except for employees of AGLC and AGLC’s wholly owned subsidiaries and affiliated advertising agencies.
To enter the participants must complete the following actions:
- Like contest social post
- Follow @aglc
- Tag your friends (one comment per tag, each tag is an entry)
This Contest runs from 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, to 11:59p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2025, Mountain Standard Time (MST). All Entries must be received on or before 12:00 a.m. on June 8, 2025, Mountain Standard Time (MST). Contest draw will be the week of June 8, 2025.
The prizes available to be won are for The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival – Edmonton, Kinsmen Park:
- Two (2) pairs of VIP Table Tickets for Sunday, July 20, 2025 – Evening Show (valued at $400) including a designated CannabisSense vehicle, through Wrapped Media to transport you to and from event each day of the festival (valued at approximately $140/ride); evening show only.
- Two (2) pairs of Skip+ General Admission tickets for Sunday, July 20, 2025 - Evening Show (valued at $250); evening show only.
All Entries have an equal chance of winning each draw. Chances of winning are dependent on how many Entries are received into the Contest. AGLC to be the executor of the official Prize draw. The Prize winners will be randomly drawn. Winner of the first prize (two (2) pairs of VIP Table Tickets) will be drawn first, and the winners of the second prizes (two (2) pairs of Skip+ General Admission Tickets) will be drawn second. Prize winners must be 18 years old or older. Any underage winners will be removed from the contest.
Winners will be contacted, and tickets will be arranged to be delivered or picked up at the festival post Contest draw. Winners will be contacted via social media channel and must be claimed within 48 hours. If a winner doesn’t communicate within that timeframe, a new winner will be drawn. Once all winners have been contacted and confirmed AGLC will provide the festival with their contact information, so tickets can be sent to them.
For your CannabisSense designated ride through Wrapped Media, we will provide them with your contact information, and they will connect you with a driver prior the event. Winners must abide by the following requirements:
- requirement to sign Wrapped Media's waiver
- Ride distance and parameters include:
- Maximum distance to or from the venue: 1 hour
- Rides to the venue can be anytime the day of the event.
- Rides from the venue can be anytime during the event plus an hour after the event.
- Wrapped requires at least an hour notice for organizing rides.
- Maximum number of guests; four (4) total.
The Prize must be accepted as described and no substitution will be permitted. The Prize may not be transferred to other persons. AGLC retains the right to replace the Prize with a different prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond AGLC’s control.
AGLC reserves the right to withhold the Prize or disqualify the Prize winner’s Entry in the event that a Prize winner fails or refuses to comply with these Contest rules.
General Terms and Conditions
If, for any reason and in the opinion of AGLC, in its sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond its control, AGLC reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest including any method of entry without notice.
AGLC will not be responsible for or accept any liability resulting from Entries that are delayed, lost, stolen, or misdirected for any reason during their delivery to AGLC whether by, but not limited to, e-mail, cellular phone network or other on-line and digital medium.
AGLC will not enter into correspondence with any Contestant except with the Prize winner and at AGLC’s own initiative. All Entries become the property of the AGLC and none will be returned.
By entering the Contest, all Contestants agree to be bound by the rules of the Contest and release AGLC and all parties associated with the Contest from any liability with respect to this Contest or any prize.
All decisions by AGLC with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final. In these Contest rules, words importing singular include the plural and vice versa. These Contest rules shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta.
The personal information collected as part of this Contest is collected under the authority of Section 33 (c) of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act and will be protected under Part 2 of that Act.
