AGLC Social Media Commenting Guidelines

All comments on AGLC social media accounts are moderated and reviewed to ensure our pages remain welcoming and inclusive. To create a safe and respectful space for dialogue, we may remove comments, including the following:

  • Comments that include offensive or inappropriate language, i.e. profanity, vulgarity, racist, sexist
  • Obscene, abusive, defamatory, bullying, or threatening engagements
  • Promotions of a product or service that is unrelated to AGLC
  • Duplicate or spam content (the same comment posted verbatim multiple times in a post)
  • Announcements from labour or political organizations, or messages from partisan websites
  • Unproven or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations
  • Unproven or inaccurate factual claims
  • Any other message that moderators feel will not add to the normal flow of debate

 

Users who repeatedly and/or purposefully violate these rules may be temporarily or permanently prevented from accessing AGLC social media accounts.


For your own safety and to protect the privacy of others, please do not share any personal information. This includes phone numbers, email addresses or other identifying information in your comments. Posts containing identifying information will be removed.


The views of those who post in AGLC’s social media channels do not necessarily represent the views of AGLC. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of these messages or the information or links that may be included. 


AGLC’s channels are monitored Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. We may not be able to respond to every post, but we try to reply to questions and connect people to resources if needed.
